Army Seeks Contractor to Provide Lab Thinkmate Server


LEXINGTON, KY--(Marketwired - November 09, 2016) - The U.S. Department of the Army released on Wednesday, November 9, a combined synopsis/solicitation for Lab Thinkmate Servers and related parts. The Army plans to offer the contract to qualified small businesses.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541511 with a small business size standard of $27.5 million.

Interested contractors must be able to provide the exact following items:

  • Five Superserver Part: 5017R-MF
  • FiveSuperserver Part: 5018D-MTF
  • Five Rax Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor Part: XSR-1160V3-SH
  • Five Rax Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor Part: XF2-1130V5-SH
  • Five Rax Eight-Core AMD Opteron Model Part: QS4-1110

The Army only will accept new equipment. It will not accept remanufactured or "gray market" items. Each item also must come with a manufacturer's warranty.

Interested contractors also must be able to ship the items (for free) to the APG - Natick SPS in Lexington, Kentucky.

For this solicitation, APG - Natick SPS intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. APG - Natick SPS is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.

Responses are due by no later than 12 p.m. EST on November 14, 2016, and bids must be good for 30 calendar days after close of buy.

To receive the contract, contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database, and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications.
