Art Directors, Scenic Artists to Display Private Artwork at Guild Headquarters

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 30, 2006 --


WHAT: Production designers, art directors, scenic designers and graphic title artists, the people who magically bring movie sets to life, will have a different kind of magic on display starting tomorrow evening, December 1. Members will be providing their first ever art show, an exhibition of their paintings, sculptures and photographs. Some 55 members will display 150 of their personal works of art, the largest of which is a 150"x60" painting.

The show is organized by scenic artist William Denis Olsen, who will have on display a pair of hand-built motorcycles. Others who are exhibiting include five-time Oscar® nominee Albert Brenner, Emmy® winners Dahl Delu ("Love and Money") and Edward L. Rubin ("Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella"), and Emmy® nominee Cherle Baker ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" 2000).

Also exhibiting are Curtis Schnell who was production designer on "Crossing Jordan," Dennis Craig Roof, production designer for "The Tonight Show," Lauryn LeClere, winner of the ADG's Commercials Award in 2004 and Jaymes Hinkle, production designer on "Snakes on a Plane."

ADG President Thomas A. Walsh says, "This is an opportunity to show everyone what our creative members do in their spare time. These works demonstrate the wide variety of talents within the Guild."

WHEN:  Opening Reception: Friday, December 1. 4:00-8:00 p.m.
       Gallery Hours: December 2, 3 and 8, 12:00-6:00 p.m.;
       December 9, 10, 15 and 16, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
       Admission free.  Open to the public
