Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musee National Picasso, Paris ends Aug. 26

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 1, 2012) - With only three and a half weeks remaining, the Art Gallery of Ontario's hot summer exhibition, Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris is keeping its doors open this holiday Monday to allow more visitors to see the exhibition's treasures before they disappear on Aug. 26.

Normally closed on Mondays, the AGO is making a special exception on Aug. 6 for the Civic Holiday and again on Monday, Aug. 20, allowing extended access to the exhibition before it ends its run the following Sunday.

Filled with 141 highlights from the Musée's collection, Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris offers a rare window into the works - also known as "Picasso's Picassos" - the artist cherished most and kept for himself.

The exhibition is a cool summer activity for everyone, whether visiting solo, with friends or with family. Families are encouraged to take advantage of the special audio tour created just for children, free with the purchase of any adult audio guide. Children can tour the exhibition with their own audio wands, pausing at seven designated stops to listen to kid-friendly programming.
