ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Artdec.ca has been awarded funding to carry out commercialization activities in Canada and in the Northeastern United States.

"The Government of Canada is committed to supporting enterprises that, like Artdec.ca, invest considerable energy in innovating and breaking into new markets," said Minister Lebel.

Artdec.ca manufactures an array of innovative green products used to protect and embellish wood finishes. These products include varnishes, oils and stains made from rough and natural materials (resins, gums, adhesives, drying oil, pigments). The firm caters to an industrial and consumer clientele.

Artdec.ca's planned commercialization activities will include hiring a head of marketing as well as taking part in various specialized trade fairs. The development of promotional material, updating the Web site and advertising purchases will round out this strategy.
