Articulate Communications Named New York's Top Boutique Agency to Work For

Firm Cited for Employee Retention and Team-Based Approach

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - October 9, 2008) - Articulate Communications Inc. (http://www.articulatepr.com), a firm that helps technology and business services companies achieve their corporate goals through results-oriented, targeted strategic communications, today announced that it has been chosen as the top New York-based boutique PR agency to work for by The Holmes Report, one of the PR industry's leading trade publications. As part of its "PR Agency Report Card 2008," The Holmes Report editors also ranked Articulate as the third-best boutique agency to work for nationally.

Published each year, The Holmes Report "PR Agency Report Card" chronicles more than 160 of the best PR firms in the United States, including large, mid-sized and small firms, specialists and boutique agencies. As part of the report card, the publication conducts online surveys with employees from participating agencies to determine its "Best Public Relations Agencies to Work For" list. Participants were asked to respond to 55 questions about their firm culture, management and compensation. More than 4,000 employees from 100 agencies participated in this year's survey.

Founded in 2002 by CEO Laura Grimmer, Articulate has continued to grow year after year, building a stellar reputation as a strategic communications partner for B2B technology and business services companies. A large part of Articulate's success comes from its employee-retention rate, which is far below the industry average. Encouraging employees to have a proper work-life balance has always been a cornerstone in Grimmer's business plan. In an industry known for high employee turnover, Grimmer developed "The Articulate Way" program, which encourages employees to work together, rely on one another, expand their knowledge base and grow their careers.

According to the report card, "Articulate's team approach to client service helps account staff support one another -- instead of competing against each other -- and provides frequent interaction with senior management. The firm also has an internal team focused on training and professional development."

"I am incredibly proud that Articulate is a place where seasoned PR practitioners can grow their careers and young enthusiastic employees can learn from the best," said Grimmer. "The PR industry is traditionally one wrought by competitiveness, politics and employee turnover -- an environment that does not nurture long-term relationships. At Articulate, we pride ourselves on building strong, lasting, mutually beneficial relationships, both internally with each other, and externally with our clients and partners."
