OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 9, 2012) - On November 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., the firing of blank rounds from a howitzer (artillery gun) will mark the beginning and the end of two minutes of silence as part of a Remembrance Day ceremony at the National Military Cemetery.
Located on the grounds of Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, the ceremony will honour all Canadian Forces (CF) members interred at the cemetery. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., the ceremony will include a marching contingent comprised of CF members, veterans and Royal Canadian Mounted Police personnel.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony and are requested to be onsite no later than 10:15 a.m.
