SANTA CLARA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 12, 2006 -- Artimi Inc., the low-power Ultra Wideband (UWB) semiconductor company, will be presenting at the Deutsche Bank Securities 2006 Emerging Wireless Technology Conference on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in Menlo Park, California. The company's CEO, Colin Macnab, will discuss the latest market developments in WiMedia UWB, including Artimi's role innovating globally-compatible solutions based on Certified Wireless USB from the USB-IF and Bluetooth® 3.

The Deutsche Bank conference will be held at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, California. The conference showcases the industry's premier private companies currently developing next-generation wireless solutions. Colin Macnab's Artimi corporate presentation is scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Pacific.

Certified Wireless USB and the upcoming high-speed Bluetooth 3 technologies will support up to 480 Mbps for rapid downloads of files, photos and video between consumer electronics, computers and peripherals. Artimi's low-power chips enable high-speed, bulk data transfer in battery-powered devices such as digital cameras, camcorders, portable storage, MP3 players and mobile phones. The company is the leading developer of globally compatible WiMedia-based solutions for Certified Wireless USB and Bluetooth 3. Artimi's chips combine support for both applications, as well as dual-band (3-5 GHz and 6-9 GHz) operation to meet U.S. and international regulatory requirements.

"We believe that Certified Wireless USB will be an important development in the mobile space as multimedia content drives the next generation of consumer electronics and mobile phones. The recent adoption of the WiMedia standard for Bluetooth 3 in 2007 will also greatly increase the utility of products and, most importantly, the market size for this function," said Brian Modoff, managing director and senior wireless analyst at Deutsche Bank. "Artimi has shown industry leadership with their early commitment and support of the 6-9 GHz WiMedia bands for international Certified Wireless USB operation and Bluetooth applications, and we are pleased to have them at the Deutsche Bank Technology Conference to present this important development."
