Artkick Adds Getty Images Daily Photojournalism and Photos.com Collections

Agreement Brings Artkick Users Access to Getty Images' World-Class Entertainment, Sports and News Photography on Their TV

LOS ALTOS, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 29, 2014) - Artkick (www.artkick.com), the consumer streaming image service that turns your TV into a digital gallery, today announced an agreement to bring entertainment, sports and news photojournalism from Getty Images to Artkick. Getty Images is the global leader in visual communications and continuously updates its photojournalism collection with thousands of news, sport and entertainment images. Artkick users will now have access through a monthly subscription to stream, share and display these stunning, high-definition photographs on their home TV within minutes of the actual event.

The agreement also adds hundreds of thousands of fine-art photographs from Photos.com by Getty Images. Built on Getty Images' unrivaled archive and exclusive collections from a wide range of world-renowned specialist photographers, Photos.com is a new site where photo enthusiasts can purchase high-quality framed prints of iconic photographs and the works of some of the 20th century's most famous photographers. It also includes collections from Lonely Planet, New York Daily News, The LIFE Magazine collection, and more. Artkick users will have access to these images and a one-click option to purchase customized, framed prints.

The Artkick mobile app uses a smartphone or tablet to stream images directly to a TV screen -- turning it into a digital picture frame for art and photos. Users can search Artkick's library of over one million images to create customized slideshows that display their favorite photographs or works of art. In addition to Getty Images and Photos.com, users can select art from collections at the Louvre, Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Gallery and thousands of museums from around the world or display their own photos from Facebook, Instagram and other social and image sharing websites.

Access to Getty Images entertainment, sport and news photojournalism is available to Artkick users for a monthly subscription of $4.99. Subscribers will have access to:

  • BACKSTAGE PASS lets you in on the latest entertainment news with instant access to thousands of images from worldwide celebrity events including awards, music concerts, movie premieres, red carpets, fashion shows, celebrity parties, and more. Entertainment aficionados can now use their backstage pass to choose images of their favorite celebrities or events, and display them on their TVs.

  • SIDELINE ACCESS puts you in the best seat for all of the games. See the memorable shots within hours for virtually all sports including football (NFL & college), baseball (MLB), basketball (NBA & college), hockey (NHL), golf (PGA & LPGA), racing (F1 & NASCAR), soccer (FIFA), tennis, and more. Sports fans can now see high-definition action shots from the world's best sports photographers with unique sideline access.

  • PRESS PASS brings you eye-to-eye with breaking news around the world. Photojournalists travel the world to capture images of national and international news, business and technology, politics, courtroom dramas and disasters. When the world focuses on a major event, the photos that tell the story will be available to subscribers within hours.
