Aryaka's Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Alliances Sonal Puri Named to UBM Channel's CRN Magazine 2012 Women of the Channel

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 23, 2012) - Aryaka, the world's first cloud-based WAN optimization as-a-Service solution, today announced that Sonal Puri, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, has been recognized by UBM Channel's CRN Magazine as one of the Women of the Channel in 2012. Honorees in CRN's 2012 Women of the Channel list have made a name for themselves as influential leaders within their own company, and the IT channel as a whole.

Puri was chosen for her vision in advancing Aryaka's partner strategy to further redefine and grow the multi-billion-dollar WAN optimization market. In 2011, Puri drove the launch of Emergence™, Aryaka's Alliance Program that brings together global leaders across various markets to enable enterprises of all sizes to expand, grow their top line and focus on their core business. In June, she introduced Aryaka's "Fusion" program enabling regional service providers to expand their offering globally and integrate with seamless access to cloud services for their customers' distributed enterprise, irrespective of location.

"Now in its 9th annual publication, CRN's 2012 'Women of the Channel' list honors female executives based on their accomplishments over the past year, and their dedication to driving the overall success of the IT Channel," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, UBM Channel. "This designation is especially important because it recognizes successful and influential women in the IT channel, which has long been considered a male-centric industry. I take great pride in honoring and congratulating these women for their contributions to the industry and their respective organizations."

"Sonal is dedicated to growing markets and partner success and demonstrates the unique ability to think equally for both sides," said Ajit Gupta, Founder, President and CEO of Aryaka. "In addition to the global alliance strategy, she has led our marketing team to build a global brand and sales team to gain traction with major global brands like InMobi, Avaya, Aruba Networks, ThoughtWorks, Radware, Calypso, NTT Data and Symphony-Teleca."

Prior to joining Aryaka, Puri was Director of Business Development at Akamai Technologies, responsible for Akamai's Application Acceleration Solutions business development and strategic alliances as well as corporate development. Before that, she was Senior Director, Global Business Operations, Business Development and Channels for Speedera Networks, creating and driving their global channel strategy and partner adoption.

Editorial coverage of the Women of the Channel will appear in the July 2012 issue of CRN Magazine. Expanded coverage and the full list will be featured online at www.CRN.com.
