As Part of the Semaine de l'industrie de Drummondville: Government of Canada Reiterates its Support for Businesses in Drummond RCM

DRUMMONDVILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 30, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, took the opportunity of the 39th Semaine de l'industrie de Drummondville, being held this year from April 28 to May 3, to highlight the Agency's continuing involvement in business development in the Drummond RCM, one of the most industrialized regions in Quebec.

Since January 2006, 53 business projects in the Drummond RCM have received more than $28 million in funding under Canada Economic Development's various programs.

These projects generated more than $144 million in total investments and helped create nearly 500 jobs and protect some 1,200 others.
