Ascendant Copper to Present at PDAC Conference, Toronto

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 1, 2007 -- Ascendant Copper Corporation (TSX: ACX) invites all of its shareholders and investors to join Management at this year's Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada ("PDAC") annual convention at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 4th - March 7th, 2007. The Company will be making a corporate presentation in the Exchange Forum, 10:40 AM, Wednesday, March 7, 2007, Room 205 D (Street Level). Ascendant will also be hosting a booth for the four days of the show in Room 105 (one level beneath street level), booth number 4213 (on the back wall of Room 105).

Ascendant's principal business is the exploration for copper in Ecuador. The Company has two primary properties: the Junin property and the Chaucha property, which it has partnered with Antofagasta PLC for exploration and advancement.
