Ashton College Announces Express Entry to Canada Continuing Professional Development Seminar

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - September 10, 2015) - On September 19, 2015 Ashton College will host a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar on the topic of Express Entry to Canada. Introduced in January 2015 by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), Express Entry is a new electronic immigration selection system designed to manage economic immigration applications to Canada. The system will help CIC select over 280,000 immigrants in 2015.

The Express Entry to Canada CPD seminar will cover a variety of topics relating to Express Entry, including economic class permanent residence to Canada, the interplay between Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs, best practices for immigration practitioners advising clients about Express Entry and how to complete an Express Entry profile and an electronic application for permanent residence. The cost of the Express Entry to Canada CPD seminar is $160, although a discounted rate is available for loyalty members. The seminar is accredited by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, the Law Society of New Brunswick, and the Law Society of British Columbia. This event will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Best Western Chateau Plus Granville and will also be available for live online viewing.

The Express Entry to Canada CPD Seminar will be presented by Roxanne Israel, LL.B. Miss Israel is a partner with Egan Business Immigration Lawyers LLP in Calgary. Her areas of focus include visas, work permits, permanent residence and citizenship. Miss Israel is the past chair of the Canadian Bar Association -- Immigration Section for Southern Alberta and a member-at-large of the National Immigration Section. She is also a member of the Calgary and Canadian Bar Associations. Miss Israel is a frequent speaker on topics related to business immigration and has previously presented at conferences for the Canadian Bar Association -- Immigration Section, the Canadian Institute, Insight, the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, Metropolis and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. Miss Israel was called to the Alberta Bar in 2003, and holds her MSt from Oxford University, an LL.B from the University of Victoria and a BA from McGill University.
