Asia Power Architecture® Conferences to Showcase Successful, Leading-Edge Solutions in Diverse Applications

New Sessions on Multicore, Promotional Strategies and Application Successes Promote the Power Architecture Platform as the Preferred Standard for Product Design and Development Across Diverse Markets and Applications

PISCATAWAY, NJ--(Marketwire - October 13, 2008) - Power.org, the organization that promotes and develops standards for Power Architecture® technology, today announced new sessions for its upcoming Power Architecture Conferences in Asia, including state-of-the-art solution/product demonstrations and success stories, regional promotional and collaboration opportunities, and an expert panel on multicore.

The Asia Power Architecture conferences will feature the latest solution/product roadmaps and demos from major Power Architecture vendors including Cadence, Freescale, IBM, Lauterbach, Synopsys and Virtutech, and up-to-the-minute details on Power.org's™ multicore, software and embedded virtualization standards-setting activities. Three conferences will be held this Fall: Hsinchu, Taiwan on October 22nd, Tokyo, Japan on October 24th, and Beijing, China on October 27th.

New Sessions

For each site in Asia, the conference will include a Power Architecture Promotion Strategy session, unique to each country, which highlights opportunities for regional collaboration in technological advancement, multicore enablement, and Power Architecture ecosystem solutions. The Multicore Challenges Panel will feature leading experts who will explore the needs of multicore enablement and examine the critical role Power Architecture multicore/virtualization plays in next-generation, high performance applications for rich multimedia content. Power.org members and end users will showcase their leading-edge Solutions and Successes, and discuss the advantages realized from using Power Architecture technology.
