Aspect Closes Previously Announced Acquisition of Corsidian

Acquisition of Aspect Channel Partner Strengthens Core Commitment and Investment in Latin America, Expands Regional Footprint

CHELMSFORD, MA--(Marketwire - Jul 25, 2011) - Aspect, a leading provider of customer contact and Microsoft platform solutions, announced today the closing on 22 July, 2011, of its acquisition of the Corsidian businesses in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Puerto Rico (together, "Corsidian"). The acquisition of Corsidian, a customer contact solutions provider in the Latin American (LATAM) region with approximately 100 employees, supports Aspect's commitment to strategic growth in the LATAM region. Aspect previously announced its intent to acquire Corsidian by press release on 4 April, 2011.

The acquisition builds upon a successful channel partner relationship of more than 10 years with Corsidian and helps Aspect meet the rising demand for customer contact solutions in the LATAM region. With the completion of the acquisition, Aspect has immediately increased its direct presence in the region, enabling greater responsiveness to customers in this growing market segment. Corsidian's extensive experience in selling and deploying Aspect solutions, and its intimate knowledge of customer needs within the LATAM market, enable Aspect to bring more resources to bear to support its customer service, collections, and sales and telemarketing solutions across the region. The local presence is also expected to allow Aspect, in collaboration with Microsoft, to more effectively connect the contact center with the rest of the enterprise with unified communications and collaboration capabilities.

Growth projections for the region, as reported by market research firm Ovum, are predicted at a rate of 9-10 percent annually between now and 2015. Aspect's expanded presence will allow the company to capitalize on developing market opportunities while delivering market-leading solutions that will help to streamline operations while helping its LATAM customers meet the needs of a new generation of social media-savvy, mobile consumers.

"Through a combination of Aspect's expanded footprint from the Corsidian acquisition, our strong LATAM channel partner presence, and increasing traction of Aspect solutions for customer contact, the company is well poised for substantial growth in this burgeoning market," said Jim Foy, Aspect president and chief executive officer. "Companies in region are looking for effective strategies to improve the customer experience amidst rapidly changing market conditions. Aspect's robust solutions will help organizations in the LATAM region drive meaningful business results. Now that the acquisition is complete, we look forward to taking advantage of the new business opportunities the combined entities provide," continued Foy.
