Assay Results Continue to Confirm Economic Grade Mineralization at First Narrows' Chester Project

Drilling Continues and Is Steadily Extending the Chester Feeder Deposit to the East and Northwest/West

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 5, 2007 -- First Narrows Resources Corp. (TSX-V: UNO) (PINKSHEETS: FNRWF) ("First Narrows" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on the mineral resource definition drilling program in progress on its Chester Copper-Polymetallic Feeder Deposit. The drilling continues and to date a total of 76 holes and 4,613 meters have been drilled in the delineation program, 22 holes in 2006 and 54 holes in 2007.

The drilling program is steadily extending the major sub-volcanic hydrothermal "plumbing system" of the Feeder Deposit up and down plunge to the east and northwest/west respectively. Analytical results for 16 drill holes from the 2007 phase of the program have now been received. The 16 holes were collared east of the holes drilled in 2006 to follow the zone up dip and to generally define the fringes of the copper-polymetallic feeder zone (Feeder Deposit) and the central volcanogenic massive sulphide ("VMS") lead-zinc-silver zone (Central VMS Deposit).

The copper zone remains open up dip along the historical decline to the east and a further section of holes is planned to the east to define this extension. The drill is presently on the most westerly and slightly deeper down plunge section of the deposit, which is accessible by the decline.

The grade of the zinc has been higher than expected in the area where the feeder and VMS mineralization inter-fingers, and also appears to be coarser grained than expected, possibly since it is in the vent area of the feeder plumbing system.

Hole C-07-050 intersected 20.5 meters (67.26 ft) of 1.96% Cu and 1.54% combined Pb-Zn, including a 5.0 meter (16.4 ft) interval in the VMS zone that assayed 13.14% combined Pb-Zn in an area where the Feeder Deposit and the Central VMS Deposit inter-finger with each other.

Hole C-07-052 intersected a very high grade 0.5 meter (1.64 ft) section of 25.20% combined Pb-Zn (21.40% Zn and 3.80% Pb from 29.0 to 29.5 meters) included in an 8.5 meter (27.9 ft) interval averaging 8.73% combined Pb-Zn.

Hole C-07-054 intersected 7.3 meters (23.95 ft) averaging 4.70% Cu, including 3.5 meters (11.48 ft) at 8.36% Cu.

Several mineralized sections are foreshortened due to the intersection of the decline.

Results for hole C-07-041 were previously reported (see news release dated March 1, 2007). The core from holes C-07-042, -043 and -044 was sent to the metallurgical division of Research and Productivity Council ("RPC") (www.rpc.ca) in Fredericton, New Brunswick, for advanced metallurgical investigations and RPC's analytical results of the core are expected to be available later this month. The results for holes -055 and -059 remain outstanding, as do results for silver analyses from several samples from the VMS intersections. In total 14 drill holes have intersected the decline to date, accurately locating it for the planned mineral resource estimate and conceptual mine design planning. A total of 5 drill holes (C-07-76,-090,-092,-093,-094) totaling 112 meters have been abandoned short of their targeted depths due to technical reasons.

The copper-polymetallic feeder zone, which is immediately accessible from the historical decline, is open to the north, west and east. The overall zone of mineralization dips westerly at 15 to 20 degrees such that the true thicknesses are approximately 93% of the assay intervals reported from the Company's vertical drill holes.

Analyses for secondary metal credits in the copper feeder mineralization are expected to be complete shortly and will be reported on when available. All samples have been sent to Activation Laboratories Ltd. in Ancaster, Ontario for analysis. Samples were analyzed on a Varian Vista Pro ICP for Cu, Pb, Zn, and Ag using a method Activation Laboratories is accredited to (ISO 17025 and CAN-P1579) by the Standards Council of Canada. Certified Canmet Reference Standards and OREAS reference standards are used as controls. Quality Assurance also includes the analysis of blanks, pulp duplicates and preparation duplicates.

QA/QC

Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of the NI 43-101 qualifying mineral resource estimate drilling, analytical and surveying programs are being monitored by independent consultants Robert Sim, P.Geo. and Bruce Davies. Earnest Brooks, P.Geo., is the Company's Qualified Person on the Chester Project. Mr. Brooks was formerly a Mine Geologist at the Patino Mines Copper Rand Mines Div. in Chibougamau, Quebec, and a mining operations geologist and exploration geologist at the BMS mines, Bathurst, from 1975 to 1990.

Chester Copper-Polymetallic Feeder Deposit

The copper-polymetallic feeder deposit is an east-west trending gently west plunging cigar-shaped mineralized structure within an alteration zone approximately 75 meters (246 ft.) or more in thickness and greater than 200 meters (656 ft.) in width. It extends west of the current area of drilling for more than 1 kilometer ( > 3,280 ft.). At the east end it lies close to surface and at its known western extent it is approximately 400 meters (1,320 ft.) below surface. The copper-polymetallic mineralization within the feeder deposit varies from low to high grade with one to three (or more) stacked, gently westerly inclined and northerly striking, sheet-like internal zones of higher-grade mineralization of variable thicknesses.

The Chester property is located in the southern part of the Bathurst Mining Camp approximately 53 kilometers (kms) west of Miramichi City, and 72 kms southwest of the city of Bathurst, New Brunswick.
