International  uranium  company Forte Energy NL (ASX: FTE, AIM: FTE; "Forte") is pleased  to  advise  that  it  has  now
received the majority of lab assay results from the +5,800 metre resource drilling programme undertaken at the Company's
Firawa Uranium Project, located in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa.

The  drilling programme, which was completed in January, followed on from initial drilling at the project in  May  2007,
which  identified a potentially significant zone of uranium mineralisation over a 2km strike length. This zone  was  the
subject  of the recently completed resource drilling programme which has so far returned excellent grades and widths  of
U3O8 (Please see table 1 below for full results).

A  total  of 56 diamond core holes were drilled to depths of between 80 and 154 metres, generally inclined at  50 degrees.
The holes  were  largely  targeted  at mineralisation hosted in deep lateritic clays present  along  a  tectonic
structure, although  several  holes  also  intersected mineralisation in the underlying alkaline and strongly
cataclastic  granite bedrock.

Forte,  through  its  mining consultants Coffey Mining, remains on schedule to prepare the initial  JORC  Code-compliant
uranium resource statement for Firawa in around three weeks, with all data from both the May 2007 drilling programme and
the recently completed drilling incorporated into the study.

The  Firawa  Project  is  the  most advanced of Forte Energy's three uranium exploration  projects  in  Guinea  and  the
delineation  of  a maiden uranium resource estimate is an important step towards the Company's ultimate development  and
production goals.

Capital Raising

On  1 June 2009 Forte Energy announced details of an A$10 million capital raising to sophisticated institutional clients
of Blackwood Capital and StoneBridge Group.

The  first tranche of this funding (~A$6.6 million) was completed on 9 June 2009 pursuant to the Company's 15% placement
authority. The remaining component of the raising is subject to Shareholder approval which will be sought at  a  General
Meeting to be held on 10 July 2009.

Drilling Program

This  resource drilling program consisted of 56 holes for a total of 5,860m of diamond drilling. The holes were  drilled
to  an average length of 104m, with a maximum of 154m for FRW132, mostly on a Southerly bearing at an inclination of  50
degrees. Further details of the drill holes are contained in the following table:
