AssetWorks Announces General Availability of AiM(TM) 7.0, Substantially Expanding Capabilities of Best-In-Class IWMS Platform

New and enhanced capabilities in needs assessment, capital programs and energy management help organizations better manage the complexities of their facilities portfolio

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS--(Marketwired - July 18, 2014) - AssetWorks, a leader in Intelligent Workplace Management, today announced the availability of AiM™ 7.0, the latest release of the company's flagship Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). Incorporating numerous customer-driven enhancements, AiM 7.0 features significant new capabilities in planning and needs assessment, capital program, energy and content management. With AiM 7.0, customers have the flexibility of deploying the complete AiM IWMS platform or deploying needs assessment, capital program or energy management as separate, standalone solutions. In either scenario, customers benefit from robust functionality that addresses a diverse array of complex facilities planning and management challenges.

Key features of AiM 7.0 include:

  • Assessment and Needs Analysis (ANA) - Users can now conduct analysis and planning in the course of managing a group of facilities that may vary in age, design, construction methods and materials. With ANA, users can track existing assets/properties, manage unplanned work with links to AiM's Capital Project and Work Order/Phase screens, and handle requests for future needs.
  • Significant Enhancements to AiM Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM) - Includes functionality to support Capital Programs and program-based contracts, construction warranties and multi-year strategic planning.
  • Enhanced Bid Management Capabilities - AiM provides the ability to create bid packages that identify the scope, authorized vendors and estimated internal costs of a project. All phases of the bid package, from assignment of contractor preference percentages to the creation of completion estimates to bid tabulation and bid award can be tracked.
  • Enhancements to AiM Energy Management Suite (EMS) - Includes energy consumption analysis, meter reading verification and overall enhancements to utility meter readings, commercial meters, virtual meters and utility bill setup.
  • Content Management Enhancements - Users can now attach and associate multiple related documents to a record at the same time. In addition, multiple related documents can easily be bundled and downloaded into a single .ZIP file.

"We're witnessing a sea-change in the market as organizations are beginning to focus on analysis and needs assessment as well as project management," said Ken Slaughter, Senior Vice President, AssetWorks. "The newly-minted ANA product offers our customers the ability to make assessment data actionable. Coupled with incremental improvements to our capital project and energy management solutions, our customers have more opportunities to find and capitalize on potential savings from their facilities portfolios than ever before. That's really what AiM 7.0 is about: empowering our customers to achieve more in the face of challenging resource constraints."
