ASSIA Vice President of Product Management Jerome Joanny to Present Session on Multiple Ways of Delivering up to 100 Megabits per Second Over Copper Plant

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 22, 2012) - ASSIA, Inc. (Adaptive Spectrum and Signal Alignment, Inc.), the leading provider of high-performance software tools for dynamic spectrum management (DSM) of digital subscriber line (DSL) and Wi-Fi networks, today announced details of its plans to showcase game-changing advances in broadband technologies at the TelcoTV 2012 Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 24 - 26. At the show, ASSIA Vice President of Product Management Jerome Joanny will present important new insights into achieving 100 megabits per second (Mbps) data rates over copper plant, and economical gigabit broadband access using DSL and Wi-Fi. ASSIA experts also will be presenting new products, ASSIA Expresse Wi-Fi and ASSIA DSL Expresse 3.1, at booth 330.

The panel discussion featuring Jerome Joanny, "Making the Most of Your Copper Infrastructure," will take place on October 24 at 12:30 p.m. as part of the Network Strategies track. With capital budgets tight but bandwidth demand growing, service providers are looking to exploit their existing copper plant and finding new technologies in play. The session will examine multiple ways of delivering up to 100 megabits per second over copper plant. Technologies will include: VDSL2 vectoring, VDSL2 bonding, which are beginning to deploy, as well as G.Fast and phantom mode, which are emerging. It will also look at how dynamic spectrum management and the combination of DSL and Wi-Fi can deliver additional bandwidth.

At ASSIA's booth 330 ASSIA experts will present two major new products from ASSIA, which address the growing needs for end-to-end DSL and home Wi-Fi network management solutions:

  • ASSIA Expresse Wi-Fi, the world's first home Wi-Fi management system, which can automatically detect and pro-actively repair problems with home Wi-Fi networks and also pinpoint problems for call-center agents.
  • ASSIA DSL Expresse 3.1, the newest version of ASSIA's flagship product, which is the world's first DSL network management system designed to manage simultaneously vectored and non-vectored lines and to enable operators to transition to vectoring at their own pace.
