Association of Washington Business Partners With SaaS Markets Launching New App Store for SMBs

SaaS App Store Helps Small Business Owners Automate and Manage Business Operations by Eliminating High Capital Expenses of Purchasing and Deploying Hardware

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2012) - Beginning today, small business owners in Washington state will have easy access to software-as-a-service applications (SaaS) that have been pre-qualified for quality and value to small businesses. The Association of Washington Business (AWB), Washington state's chamber of commerce, is launching an innovative SaaS App Store made possible by the chamber's partnership with SaaS Markets, a global leading business app store provider.

The AWB App Store provides chamber members easy access to more than 1,300 trusted SaaS applications specifically designed to meet the needs of small business owners. AWB has more than 8,000 members -- about half of which are small businesses. SaaS Markets and the Small Business App Store take the guesswork out of finding these various applications by delivering them in one place, through the AWB website, saving AWB chamber members valuable time, money and resources.

"Time is one of the most precious resources small business owners have, and our partners at SaaS Markets understand how to help entrepreneurs save time and make better technology decisions," said Kris Johnson, vice president of operations for the Association of Washington Business. "Our goal as the state chamber is to help our members be successful and contribute to a healthy economy. The Small Business App Store helps our members quickly find reliable, affordable and appropriate business solutions that will allow them to grow and create new jobs here in the state of Washington."

AWB is the first state chamber in the nation to provide a SaaS App Store for its small business members, bringing them ease-of-use and the ability to try applications without commitment. The AWB Small Business App Store will offer a robust array of business applications that are scalable, customizable and easily accessible to small business members in a variety of industries. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounting and Finance
  • Data Management
  • IT
  • Sales
  • Security
  • Website and Content Management

The applications will allow small business owners to not only automate, but also better manage their business operations, while eliminating the high capital expenses of purchasing and deploying hardware and software designed to improve their operational efficiency. Navigating the store is quick, easy and affordable for chamber members, with most apps running between $15 and $20 a month.

"As an entrepreneur and small business owner, I faced the same technology problems most small business owners face in finding affordable IT solutions that perform as promised," said Ferdi Roberts, founder and CEO of SaaS Markets. "SaaS Markets was created to address these critical issues. With this new App Store we will help the members of the AWB state chamber focus their time on building their businesses, creating jobs and those factors that drive growth, and less time worried about IT and operational issues."

The Association of Washington Business's new App Store goes live today, October 17, and is available at
