Asteelflash announces its financial results for 2011

Asteelflash has announced revenues of $780 million for 2011, an increase of 18% on 2010. The 2011 operating profit was up by 60% compared with 2010.

"The group's performance continued to improve in 2011. We are pursuing a policy based on our 'Asteelflash Excellence System', a quality label designed to improve industrial performance, quality, lean manufacturing and technology on all the group's sites. The improvement in our performance reflects this strategy", declared Asteelflash President and CEO, Gilles Benhamou.

The highlights of 2011 included the acquisition of the operations of TES, based in Langon, France, with a strong presence in the aerospace, defense and security sector, followed by the takeover of Catalyst Manufacturing Services Inc., EMS Company based on the East coast of the United States and in Mexico, at the start of 2012. These acquisitions consolidate the group's strategic focus on the industrial, medical, military and aerospace market sectors.

Despite its growth and these acquisitions, Asteelflash maintains a positive cash position. "We believe that our durability and our investment capacity to drive future development are guaranteed by the absence of any debt. Our customers can count on Asteelflash as a long-term industrial partner" explains Gilles Benhamou.

Asteelflash expects to post revenues exceeding $900 million in 2012. The group plans to make a concerted effort to consolidate its strategy by including design in the development of projects with its customers.
