AsthmaSense® Prime to Be Previewed at the 2014 International CES®

iSonea CEO Jerry Korten to Speak at Living in Digital Times at CES

OCEANSIDE, CA--(Marketwired - January 07, 2014) - AsthmaSense® Prime, iSonea Ltd.'s next-generation smartphone application that serves as one's personal asthma monitor, will be previewed at the 2014 International CES® Jan. 7-10, 2014, in Las Vegas.

AsthmaSense Prime is equipped with unprecedented features to help inform users about changing asthma risks based on symptoms, triggers, medication usage and environmental factors -- pollen, weather and air quality -- that can amplify symptoms or provoke an attack. AsthmaSense Prime makes it easy to record objective data related to one's asthma management to share with physicians or family members.

In addition, AsthmaSense Prime has the ability to automatically incorporate wheeze measurement data when used with AirSonea™, the world's first smartphone-enabled device for monitoring wheeze. Wheeze is a cardinal sign of asthma associated with airway obstruction.

Currently available in Australia and granted a CE mark for the European market, the AirSonea device is not yet available in the United States.

AsthmaSense Prime will be demonstrated at the iSonea booth number 26521 located in South Hall 2 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"The iSonea team is thrilled to showcase its new asthma solution, AsthmaSense Prime, at the world's premier consumer technology show," said Jerry Korten, chief executive officer of iSonea. "CES is an ideal venue for a leader in the mHealth space like iSonea to reveal future products and applications to the international consumer technology market."

In addition, Korten will speak at the Living in Digital Times stage on Friday, Jan. 10 at 9 a.m. PT located in the Las Vegas Convention Center in South Hall 2 at booth 25515. Addressing technology enthusiasts and media, Korten's presentation will highlight iSonea's history as a mHealth leader as well as its up-and-coming products like AirSonea and AsthmaSense Prime.

With more than 29 years of experience in the medical device industry, Korten was previously CEO for Versamed Inc. which was acquired by GE Healthcare. He also is active in the medical device startup scene as "entrepreneur in residence" for the Partnership Fund for New York City and served as "executive in residence" for Columbia University in the past.
