Astro-Med Signs Contract With Rockwell Collins to Provide Cockpit Printers for Bombardier Aircraft

WEST WARWICK, RI--(Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - Astro-Med, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide ruggedized cockpit printers for Bombardier's new Global Vision cockpit.

Astro-Med's ruggedized printers will complement the new Pro Line Fusion avionics suite provided by Rockwell Collins. The Pro Line Fusion suite features large high-resolution displays, an intuitive human-machine interface, open system architecture, and an array of communications capabilities that improve information management for pilots. Rockwell Collins has been selected to provide systems integration for the Global Vision flight deck, featured in Bombardier's ultra long-range Global Express XRS* and high-speed Global 5000* business jets.

Astro-Med's real-time, high-resolution ToughWriter® cockpit printers will provide pilots with additional information for decision-making, including printed maps of flight plans and weather patterns, and hard copy reproduction of other information displayed on screen. Enhancing information availability is a key feature of Bombardier's newly designed Global Vision cockpit.

Astro-Med's compact ToughWriter® airborne printers will be manufactured in a custom color and print configuration for integration inside the Global Vision flight deck.

Astro-Med previously announced this contract on March 26, 2007, but did not name Rockwell Collins because Rockwell Collins had not publicly announced its agreement with Bombardier.
