Astute Networks and DataCore Software Host Seminar Series to Address Common Storage Challenges of Maximizing Application Performance and Business Continuity for Virtualized Environments

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 6, 2013) - Astute Networks™, Inc., the leading provider of performance storage appliances, today announced that it will be partnering with DataCore™ Software for an informative IT management seminar. The joint seminar will be hosted by industry experts to address the common storage obstacles of delivering optimal application performance and business continuity for virtualized environments.

The first seminar will take place on June 12 at 6:00 p.m. CDT at the Allerton Hotel in Chicago. This discussion entitled, "Going Triple Platinum: Using Virtualization to Deliver the Full Business Value" will be hosted and moderated by Jon William Toigo, CEO and managing principal of Toigo Partners International.

The second seminar will take place on June 14 at 11:30 a.m. EDT at The Capital Grille in Boston. At the Boston event, DataCore Software's Northeast Region Sales Director, Ralph Donofrio and Astute's VP of Sales, Steve Kucker, will co-lead the discussion on "Igniting Performance by Combining Flash with Storage Virtualization."

The IT management seminar in Chicago will allow IT professionals to connect and collaborate with their peers to discuss and get expert insight into how software-based storage virtualization solutions can be combined with flash storage to lower total cost of storage, improve performance and empower the full business value of virtualized solid state storage.

The flash storage seminar in Boston will explain how to speed up Oracle, SAP, SQL Server and other critical applications. Attendees will learn how to make their business more responsive and efficient using storage virtualization to:

  • Overcome I/O bottlenecks using solid-state flash devices
  • Complement existing installed hard disk based storage with flash technology
  • Prevent storage from slowing down or taking down your applications

DataCore and Astute solutions work together to optimize the performance and availability of virtualized infrastructures. DataCore's SANsymphony-V platform provides storage virtualization functionality, including auto-tiering, caching, thin provisioning, snapshots, replication and continuous data protection of virtual volumes. Astute breaks application performance barriers by resolving critical I/O bottlenecks with the ViSX family of flash-based Performance Storage Appliances. The joint solution is ideal for cost-constrained multi-vendor IT organizations deploying desktop and server virtualization with a need for a disaster recovery and business continuity solution.
