ASURiO Inspection Systems Announces Move to Secure Co-Location Center

Off-Site Center Offers Increased Privacy, Availability and Security of Customer Data

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - Apr 11, 2011) - ASURiO Inspection Systems (www.asurio.com), a leading provider of inspections technology for the collection and management of data captured in the field for compliance with regulations, risk management, and/or asset management, today announced the relocation of its data center to an off-site secure co-location data center. These significant changes occurred as ASURiO recognized that security and data integrity are crucial to their hosted customers, and, as a result, has devoted significant resources to implement a state-of-the-art security infrastructure. ASURiO offers customers peace of mind when it comes to data security to ensure that their data remains private, available and secure.

This secure co-location facility features 24-hour manned security, biometric access control, video surveillance and physical locks. Power is supplied by redundant grids with redundant UPS and backup generators. In addition, nightly backups of all production systems and databases are performed. The facility is SAS70 compliant, and they have obtained Type II Audit. In addition, this facility has received PCI-DSS Sections 9 & 12 Certification.

"It is important when you're a hosting company to make sure your customer access and data are available and secure as close to 99.999% of the time as you can get. To achieve this, we've located our hosting servers in a secure co-location facility, ViaWest," noted CJ LaFleur, ASURiO's Technical Support and Business Operations Manager. "This facility was specifically built for the sole purpose of running servers in a 7x24x365 environment. Before anyone can reach our servers, there are 6 security checks that have to be made."
