At Age 13, Rising Fashion Star Isabella Rose Taylor Debuts Runway Show at New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - September 09, 2014) - Isabella Rose Taylor, an artist and fashion designer from Austin, Texas, today debuted the Spring 2015 collection for her juniors clothing line -- ISABELLA ROSE TAYLOR -- with her first NYFW runway show. At age 13, Isabella is one of the youngest designers to exhibit during Fashion Week in New York.

The ISABELLA ROSE TAYLOR clothing brand for teens, designed by Isabella, also has just launched a fall 2014 juniors collection exclusively online at and at select Nordstrom stores.

The runway show, presented by Dell, took place at 11 a.m. today at STYLE360, the "premier destination for trending and renowned fashion designers." The location for STYLE360 is 639 West 46th Street, NY, NY 10036.

Isabella described her spring 2015 collection as a "story of spring with rainy days and colorful beginnings." She said her collection "evolved to reflect the Isabella Rose Taylor girl: a mix of modern hippie, street grunge and quirky details to embrace her ever evolving style. This season's print and pattern inspiration came to fruition from one of my abstract paintings. I took this painting and transformed it into my fabric." 

Shape-wise, Isabella said that the collection is a mixture of "fluid" pieces, with oversized T-shirts, pleated dresses and loose cardigans, all of which is juxtaposed with more form-fitting pieces -- which isn't just a design choice, it's also a practical one: the "form-fitting pieces accommodate layering in that sometimes unpredictable spring weather." 

Pieces in the collection include a cropped halter featuring an embroidered storm cloud, a sporty cropped tank top, a feminine muscle shirt with a luxe crochet accent and contrasting trims, T-shirts in assorted styles and featuring Isabella's artwork, dresses from a trapeze design to a babydoll in both short and maxi versions, skirts, shorts, sweaters, a romper, overalls and lounge pants.

Isabella said that she loves doing runway shows because, artistically, she is in control of how her collection is presented. "Putting everything together is really nice because I get to pick the atmosphere I get to display my clothes in" -- everything from the music to the individual looks.

Technology is critical to the ISABELLA ROSE TAYLOR business, design process, staying connected with her fans and preparing for her fashion show. To demonstrate her creative design process from concept to reality, models walked down the runway with the hottest new Dell Venue tablets with custom covers designed by Isabella. The artwork on the tablets showed the inspiration behind each piece in her Spring Collection. Models also took photos with the tablets on the runway and shared them via social media with her fans around the world.

The ISABELLA ROSE TAYLOR runway show also featured a pre-show performance by 20-year-old recording artist, Olivia Somerlyn, who sang her hit single "Parachute" that she co-wrote with Nick Jonas.

Isabella Rose Taylor Launches YouTube Channel on StyleHaul Network

Continuing her exploration of different avenues to share her creative vision and connect with her fans and followers, Taylor also announced the launch of a YouTube channel ( and her partnership with the largest fashion and beauty network on YouTube, StyleHaul. Taylor's channel will focus on videos that celebrate her personal style, fashion, design and everything in between, with Taylor providing a direct and behind-the-scenes point of view.

Isabella Rose Taylor is a 13-year-old fashion designer and fine artist from Austin, Texas. Taylor has been designing and creating clothes since she was nine years old. With a penchant for design and a lifelong passion for art, Isabella launched her first clothing collection in February 2012 on her website at

In September 2012, Isabella debuted her fall collection in her first runway show during Austin Fashion Week and was awarded "Rising Star" at Austin Fashion Week in 2013. Her runway show headlined the 2014 Austin Fashion Week and she also exhibited at 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Oklahoma City. She was selected as an Emerging Designer in February 2014 at WWDMAGIC.

Isabella's fashion collection is a natural extension of her lifelong passion for art. She believes fashion and art are inextricably connected. This sentiment is reflected in her motto, "If art had legs it would be fashion." Isabella began painting when she was 3 years old and continues to paint every day. A prolific artist, her paintings are sold privately at Kristy Stubbs Gallery in Dallas.

Isabella is currently a sophomore in college; she is a former contributing editor for Amazing Kids! Magazine, and also served on the advisory board for Creative Kids Magazine. She is a member of Mensa and a Davidson Youth Scholar. She recently won the Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key Award for her couture dress. Isabella is also a published writer and poet.
