At FOSE, Net Optics Announces New Indigo Pro Virtual Appliance for Deployment in Virtual Environments

Enterprise Grade Solution Can Be Integrated Into Physical and Virtual Environments for Optimal Monitoring at Affordable Price Point

SANTA CLARA, CA and WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Apr 3, 2012) - Net Optics, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent access and monitoring architecture, introduces a new version of Indigo Pro™ for virtual environments. Customers now have a choice of shipment of a physical appliance or downloading the new solution. As government agencies move towards virtual and cloud deployments and adopt the Federal Cloud Computing Initiative (FCCI), the Indigo Pro virtual platform makes for a welcome addition to the Indigo Pro physical server deployment. Net Optics will demonstrate the business-critical advantages of Indigo Pro at the FOSE (booth #716) in Washington D.C., April 3-5, 2012. The Phantom Virtual Tap, winner Best of FOSE 2011, will also be demonstrated at the booth.

"Customers asked us for a solution with an affordable price tag, one that was cost effective and sustainable," said Sharon Besser, VP Technology at Net Optics. "With Indigo Pro now available as a virtual appliance, we've simplified network devices management with a device that's easier to deploy, and is more elastic and accessible for government agencies as well as enterprises."

Indigo Pro is offered as a downloadable virtual server providing a consolidated performance and security view of the monitoring and access layers in cloud deployments. The appliance provides centralized access to data from just a few to hundreds of devices, making it easy to administer and monitor traffic levels and quality across the network.

For government agencies seeking to adopt FCCI guidelines, a network monitoring solution in virtual appliances is a tool that can be used in the transition to cloud computing. Indigo Pro supports access and monitoring of network devices regardless of location, as well as aggregating access and monitoring data from physical and virtual taps for a consolidated view. The Federal Cloud Computing Initiative is a federal government project to drive the government-wide adoption of cost effective, green, and sustainable federal cloud computing solutions. A key challenge in cloud deployments is visibility into the monitoring and access layers. Net Optics solutions allow federal agencies acting on the FCCI to achieve 100% visibility in the cloud.

Pricing and Availability

The Indigo Pro is currently available at a starting at $4,900. It will be sold through select partners and VARs.
