Atacama Pacific Announces Appointment of Nathan Brewer to the Board of Directors

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 13, 2010) - Atacama Pacific Gold Corporation (TSX VENTURE:ATM) ("Atacama Pacific") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nathan Brewer to the Board of Directors. Mr. Brewer, a geologist with 35 years of international mineral exploration experience including 17 years in Latin America, is currently Vice President Exploration, Americas Region with Gold Field Exploration.

Prior to joining Gold Fields in 2002, Mr. Brewer held senior exploration management positions with Homestake, Barrick and Lac Minerals. Mr. Brewer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1975.
