ATCO and its employees, through their annual company-wide ATCO Employees Participating in Communities (EPIC) fundraising program, have pledged $3.1 million to more than 500 charitable organizations.

The ATCO EPIC contribution was announced today in Calgary and Edmonton at special celebrations that brought together EPIC Committee leaders from the ATCO Group of Companies and representatives from benefiting community and charity organizations.

"As the need in our communities continue to grow, so does the generosity and community spirit of the people of ATCO," said Nancy Southern, President and CEO, ATCO Group. "I am inspired by our ATCO employees who continue to make epic contributions to our communities through donations, participation in our fundraising activities and who give the gift of time."

The EPIC program combines fundraising events, auctions, friendly team competitions and employee pledges, to support charitable organizations across Canada. ATCO absorbs all the administration costs of the campaign, ensuring that 100% of the employee donations go toward the employees' charities of choice. ATCO further enhances its employees' generosity by matching charitable donations made to human health and wellness organizations.

ATCO Group, with more than 7,500 employees and assets of approximately $10 billion, delivers service excellence and innovative business solutions worldwide with leading companies engaged in Utilities (pipelines, natural gas and electricity transmission and distribution), Energy (power generation, natural gas gathering, processing, storage and liquids extraction), Structures & Logistics (manufacturing, logistics and noise abatement) and Technologies (business systems solutions).
