aTeam Ministries Launches New Website -- More Ways to Get Involved

BIRMINGHAM, AL--(Marketwired - June 30, 2015) - aTeam Ministries, a Birmingham based non-profit committed to the spiritual, financial and emotional support of children and their families coping with pediatric cancer, launched a new website today with more activities for those wanting to support these families. The website can be found at www.aTeamMinistries.org and was built by Plexamedia. One of the new events added to the site is a Bold 4 Gold Rally on Aug. 15, 2015 in Homewood Central Park from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"We are excited to launch this new website for the families and volunteers of aTeam Ministries," said Andy Thrower, executive director of aTeam Ministries. "This site not only tells people who we are, but it lets them see all of our events, fundraisers and volunteer opportunities. In turn, we think it will help us do more to help families coping with pediatric cancer."

The t-shirt design for the upcoming Bold 4 Gold Rally was done by Tina Woodley in honor of her daughter Aly Mae who lost her fight with brain cancer last year.

"I'm so honored that aTeam Ministries selected my shirt design for the Bold 4 Gold rally; it's just one more way that I can remember my daughter and help bring awareness to the fight against childhood cancer," said Woodley.

T-shirts are on sale through the new website in advance of the event. All proceeds go to help families that are coping with a child going through cancer treatment.

aTeam Ministries provides: financial support, through an apartment located near hospitals for a family to stay in; spiritual support, through prayer sessions; emotional support, by linking volunteers with pediatric cancer families to provide for special needs and family outings like a Day at the Game.
