Atelier d'usinage Mont-Laurier Inc. Undergoes Expansion With Support from Government of Canada


MONT-LAURIER, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - March 3, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the machine shop Atelier d'usinage Mont-Laurier Inc. has been granted financial assistance to increase its production capacity and productivity.

This support has been awarded in the form of a $600,000 repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.

  • This investment will enable Atelier d'usinage Mont-Laurier to build a new plant and acquire equipment, allowing it to grow and develop new markets.
  • The enterprise specializes in the manufacture of forestry machinery parts and equipment for wood processing plants, and in the repair of heavy equipment used for excavation and road infrastructure construction.
  • In addition to the forestry sector, the SME also serves companies in the mining and construction sectors.
