Athabasca Potash Inc. Announces Updated Technical Report Filed on SEDAR

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Nov. 13, 2008) - Athabasca Potash Inc. ("Athabasca" or the "Company")(TSX:API) is pleased to announce that a National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43-101") compliant technical report (the "Technical Report") entitled NI 43-101 Technical Report for a Resource Estimation on the Burr Project, Athabasca Potash Inc., Saskatchewan, Canada, has been filed on SEDAR supporting the updated potash resource estimate at the Burr Project. On September 29, 2008 the Company announced the updated potash resource estimate prepared by AMEC Americas Limited ("AMEC") based on 14 potash test wells on the Burr property. An additional 3 potash test wells were drilled after the updated resource was obtained and were not included in the resource estimate.

The Technical Report with an effective date of September 18, 2008, supporting the scientific and technical information contained in the press release dated September 29, 2008, was prepared by AMEC and is available at www.sedar.com or www.athabascapotash.ca. Susan Lomas, P.Geo. of Lions Gate Geological Consulting Inc, is the independent Qualified Person (as defined by NI 43-101) for the Technical Report, and prepared the mineral resource estimates, the scientific and technical information contained in the press release dated September 29, 2008.
