AtheroNova Inc. Signs Agreement With Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute for Atherosclerotic Plaque Regression Studies

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - November 9, 2010) -  AtheroNova Inc. (OTCBB: AHRO) ("AtheroNova"), a biotech company focused on the research and development of compounds to regress atherosclerotic plaque, announced that the Company has signed a research agreement for its second phase of a pre-clinical laboratory animal study to be conducted by the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute's Division of Cardiology.

The protocol for the study is designed to validate the results of the Company's initial successful pre-clinical study demonstrating the study group having a 95% less occurrence of arterial plaque compared to the control group. The study is expected to commence shortly and is scheduled to take approximately six months to complete.
