Atlanta Legal Experts on Buckhead Business RadioX Discusses DUI Defense, Father's Rights, Workers' Compensation

Host Emily Rowell Interviews Lawyers From Kessler & Solomiany, Willingham Law Firm, and J. Franklin Burns, PC

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - January 08, 2015) - On December 16, 2014, the Atlanta Legal Experts show welcomed three lawyers to the studio. Host Emily Rowell and guest host Josh Schiffer interviewed Sean Ditzel of Kessler and Solomiany, David Willingham of Willingham Law Firm, and Shannon Rolen of J. Franklin Burns. The broad legal discussion covered DUI Defense, Father's Rights and Workers' Compensation issues.

Sean Ditzel is primarily a divorce attorney with Kessler & Solomiany, LLC, one of the largest firms in Georgia exclusively practicing family law. Kessler & Solomiany lawyers are regional and national leaders and have chaired the family law sections of the American, Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations and are active in the AAML, Family Law Inn of Court and many other bar and community organizations. The team is committed to the improvement of family law, teaching law school courses and seminars across the country, authoring books and articles and providing commentary on legal issues for the media.

"Seventy percent of my practice is middle income divorce clients," said Ditzel. "I love the client contact. I love the drama and helping people through it and to the other side of it."

David Willingham is a trial lawyer specializing in DUI, and operates Willingham Law Firm, PC. He began his career with Leonard, Rickman & Holloway, P.C., whose lead partner has since been appointed to the bench of Cobb County Superior Court, and learned the skills to be a successful criminal litigator focusing primarily on DUI defense. In 2011, Willingham was recruited by the Cobb County District Attorney's office to serve his community.

In discussing different kinds of DUI charges, Willingham stated, "The 'DUI per se' is what I call the magic number theory, where the state must prove that the person charged was driving a car, the car was moving, and within 3 hours of that driving ending the blood alcohol concentration was 0.08 grams or more. This is where what starts as a traffic stop becomes science, and you need an attorney that has been trained in that science to represent you."

Shannon Rolen is with the law firm of J. Franklin Burns, PC, a firm dedicated to representing the injured and led by authorities on Georgia workers' compensation law. The firm's lawyers have written articles and lectured widely on workers' compensation. Rolen, who has been practicing law since 1998, represents those involved in workplace accidents.

"Workers' Comp is a specialized area of law," said Rolen. "People think it is similar to personal injury, and it's just not. If you go into a Workers' Comp situation and you think you'll get millions of dollars, you're not. If you learn that early, you will do a lot better accepting limitations in the system, because if you do get millions of dollars from a workers' comp suit, you will not have the physical ability to spend that money."
