Atlanta Technology Leaders Radio Features Women in Technology (WIT)

Sandy Welfare and Denise Reese Discuss the Importance of WIT and Their Roles as Promoters of This Organization

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - January 27, 2015) - Atlanta Technology Leaders Radio welcomed to the studio Sandy Welfare, interim Executive Director of Women In Technology (WIT), and Denise Reese, current director of Business Development with Endava (US) LLC. Host Lee Kantor spoke with these leaders in technology about their achievements and involvement with WIT.

Sandy Welfare, recently appointed to her position with WIT, has worked hard for the duration of her career with the promotion and support of the empowerment of women in technology and leadership roles. Before her involvement with WIT, Welfare was the Executive Director of Cool Girls, Inc. This is an after school program dedicated to the empowerment of low income girls. What makes her so passionate about her job is her belief that everyone should have the ability and opportunity to pursue anything they wish to, regardless of gender or background.

"WIT focuses around the development of women who are already in the technology field," said Welfare. "We do have some great partnerships, so there's a lot we are still working on with programs in coding and different ways we can really bring the technology platform for women to learn."

Denise Reese leads sales and operations for Endava's newest US office in Atlanta, GA. Reese has had experience in many different technology fields and her talents are broad. She specializes in Identity and Access Management and IT Security and Regulatory Compliance Management. She has an impressive educational background and holds an MBA in Strategic Management from The Henley Business School in The United Kingdom. Convincing women to pursue STEM careers is a passion of Reese's and she feels strongly about women's involvement in the technology world. She is currently President of The WIT Foundation Board, working hand in hand with Welfare.
