Atlanta Technology Leaders Radio Spotlights eCommHub

Kurt Heinrich and Nate Kristy Discusses the Importance of Customer Experience

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - February 11, 2015) - On January 22nd, 2015, Atlanta Technology Leaders welcomed to the studio Kurt Heinrich and Nate Kristy with eCommHub. Co-hosts Lee Kantor and Stone Payton talked to these thought leaders about how their business was started and their unique line of work.

eCommHub was founded by Kurt Heinrich. eCommHub offers e-commerce automation software. Everyone buys things online. After you push the checkout button, though, there are a lot of manual things that have to happen. eCommHub is a software system that takes control of these manual things that have to happen before you receive your online order. They work with the retailers who are selling things online and they also work with vendors. Heinrich and Kristy both say that most people think this is an overly saturated market, but to the surprise of many, there is actually an exceptionally large margin for growth.

"So e-commerce, everybody thinks it's already happened, and there was a big explosion in the early 2000s when eBay and Amazon took off," said Heinrich.  "But really, right now we are going through an even bigger wave with these shopping carts and platforms. Our company was started in 2010 and it grew out of software I had originally built to automate my own stores."

There is a lot of manual work being done in this field and processing manual orders can be a challenge, so the software developed has helped with this aspect of e-commerce. Kristy, who is in charge of marketing, spends the majority of his time getting the word out about eCommHub, catering to online retailers who are processing hundreds to thousands of orders per month. Kristy emphasized the simplicity of opening a site now, but says that most people don't understand the work that goes into the back end.
