WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - January 7, 2010) - The Atlantic Partners, a leading business improvement and exit trajectory firm announced today the opening of its Mid-Atlantic regional office in Washington, DC. The new location is in response to the firm's increasing demands for its services and is aimed to accommodate future growth across the region.

Serving as lead Partner of the new regional office is Tom Kohn, a digital media veteran and successful serial entrepreneur. An executive in both Washington and New York, Kohn has been CEO of DC high-tech success stories Transactis and Bid4Assets, and he was formerly at AOL and Freeloader. Kohn created the e-commerce division of and, as the site's chief revenue officer, created a $20 million revenue stream for Gannett in less than three years. Kohn will be responsible for The Atlantic Partners clients across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
