Atlantic Rock Group Billy Talent Sets Dates for Spring Headline Tour; Cross Country Trek Kicks Off in Buffalo, NY on March 15th

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 17, 2007 --Atlantic recording group Billy Talent has unveiled plans for a spring U.S. headlining tour. The Toronto-based punk outfit -- hot off the heels of two triumphant sold-out U.K. headline tours -- will be joined on the road by Cancer Bats and Drive By. The band is currently wrapping up a series of arena dates in Canada. A special one off show at the legendary Brixton Academy in the U.K. followed by a number of arena stops in Germany are scheduled before hitting the States in March.

Guaranteed to be one of the most explosive tours of the spring, the trek will kick off on March 15th at the Icon in Buffalo, NY, with dates continuing through an April 7th show at the Glass House in Pomona, CA (see attached itinerary).

"BILLY TALENT II" has proven to be a massive international success, debuting last summer at #1 on the album charts in Germany and the band's home country of Canada. In addition, the album topped the Canadian chart for three weeks running and has gone on to be certified double-platinum.

In other news, the band recently made their U.S. television debut performing "Red Flag" on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."

With a searing sound that forged influences such as The Clash, Jane's Addiction, and Rage Against the Machine into something uniquely their own, Billy Talent first made waves in 2003 with the release of their smash self-titled debut. Fuelled by singles such as the boisterous "Try Honesty," "BILLY TALENT" led to the band's widespread success in Canada (where it went 3x Platinum) and Europe, while also kick-starting the birth of an intensely loyal fan following in the U.S. In addition, "BILLY TALENT" received a variety of honors, including three MuchMusic Video Awards, three Juno Awards, and three CASBY Awards.

Released in the summer of 2006, "BILLY TALENT II" sees the band taking punk to new heights, amplifying the explosive energy and earnest lyricism that made their debut an international sensation. Recorded at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, the album was produced by Gavin Brown with co-production from guitarist Ian D'Sa and mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge.

"BILLY TALENT II" has drawn critical hosannas from such major national publications as, who extolled the band as "Canada's answer to Fall Out Boy." "Resistance is futile," declared Alternative Press, whose 4-out-of-5-rated review acknowledged Billy Talent as "one of the most underrated punk bands in operation today."
