Atlantic Southeast Airlines Names New Leaders to Vice President Posts

Organizational Changes Reflect Company's Commitment to Customer Service Through Focus on Employee and Operational Support

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - February 29, 2008) - Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW), has named leaders to three vice president positions.

Terry Vais has been selected as vice president of Customer Care, as company veteran Lisa Walker transitions to become vice president of ASA's new Operational Support division.

At the same time, President and COO Brad R. Holt named Kevin Wade as vice president of Administration and Resources. Wade, who is currently the director of Finance at ASA, will take over his new role as industry veteran Sam Watts retires from his vice president of People post. All appointments are effective March 1, 2008.

"We are very pleased Terry and Kevin are joining the ASA senior leadership team, and that Lisa will continue bringing her operational knowledge and expertise to lead our new division," Holt said. "Each of these results-oriented, hands-on leaders have proven records that make them the best fit for providing our exceptional employees with the right support to continue strengthening our operational reliability and customer service."

Vais, who currently serves as SkyWest Airlines' hub director at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), will have oversight of ASA's Airport Customer Service operations at the more than 130 airports that ASA serves, including ASA's hometown hub in Atlanta. Additionally, Vais will have responsibility for Customer Relations, Partner Relations, Market Development and Airport Customer Service Training & Standards.

Vais began his aviation career in 1990 at SkyWest Airlines as a ramp agent and has since held roles of increasing responsibility including several management positions. Most recently, Vais was responsible for successfully coordinating SkyWest's LAX operation -- the largest in terms of flight volume of any other carrier at that airport.

As vice president of Operational Support, Lisa Walker will have oversight of Properties & Facilities, Ground Equipment, Online Training and Technical Writing programs.

A 25-year ASA employee, Walker has played pivotal roles in the Airport Customer Service and Properties & Facilities arenas, and will continue as a key leader through developing the Operational Support division. Walker was recently named one of Atlanta's Top 25 Women to Watch by Atlanta Woman Magazine for her operational and Properties & Facilities accomplishments at ASA.

Kevin Wade will be responsible for ASA's Finance, Human Resources, Employee Relations and Labor Relations departments. His experience working with teams that support ASA's HR and Finance programs will be valuable as ASA works to expand its HR programs.

With a bachelor's degree in accounting and an M.B.A. from Southern Utah University, Wade joined the aviation industry in 2001 at SkyWest Airlines. He has been the director of Finance at ASA since 2005.
