Atlantis Computing Receives Renewal Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) From U.S. Army

Certification Validates Atlantis USX for Deployment Throughout the U.S. Army's IT Infrastructure

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - June 07, 2016) - Atlantis Computing®, the leading provider of Software-Defined Storage (SDS), today announced it has been granted a renewal of Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) from the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) for Atlantis USX™ 3.x solution. This certification enables the U.S. Army to utilize Atlantis USX throughout its technology infrastructure to increase storage capacity and performance. The validation also builds on the existing certification for Atlantis ILIO software, which was previously awarded the CoN from the U.S. Army Medical Command.

CoN is required in order to assure that all outside software, tools, or systems are compliant and meet or exceed the U.S. Army's requirements for reliability, security, architecture, and integration when deployed within the Army's existing IT infrastructure.

Atlantis USX is a software-defined storage solution that easily integrates into existing environments, enabling customers to abstract any new or existing SAN, NAS or DAS storage into a single pool of resources for a more agile data center. By providing the speed of flash for virtually every storage type and increasing the overall storage capacity with Atlantis data services, IT organizations in the U.S. Army can greatly simplify management with less storage to configure, provision or manage. Further, customers can easily scale their infrastructure with predictable performance throughout the datacenter. Atlantis USX is the only hyperconverged solution that provides unique, patented approaches to caching, de-duplication, and data coalescing to deliver both outstanding performance and storage capacity savings.

"The U.S. military, like all government agencies, are under pressure to quickly adapt to storage growth and increase application performance throughout their data centers," said Chris Romeo, director of Federal at Atlantis. "By renewing the certification for Atlantis software-defined storage and hyperconverged building blocks, the U.S. Army NETCOM is providing Department of Defense agencies with the assurance of high reliability and meeting compliance standards."
