Atlantis Systems International Awarded Purchase Order For Enhanced Engine Simulators

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 13, 2010) - Atlantis Systems Corp. (NEX:AIQ.H), a globally recognized training integrator in the military and commercial aviation markets, today announced that its subsidiary Atlantis Systems International (ASI) has been awarded a purchase order to build three new Enhanced Engine Simulators for Pratt & Whitney Canada.

ASI will build three additional simulators that provide a user-friendly engine simulation for avionics integration testing. The simulators support the operation of the EEC (Electronic Engine Control unit) on multiple Pratt & Whitney turbofan engines (306, 307, 308, and 600 family) by imitating the behaviour of the engine and airframe systems to which the EEC is normally connected. The simulator provides appropriate signals to allow bench testing of the EEC to verify normal starts, idle running, limited flight testing, and many other engine operational scenarios.

This brings the number of engine simulators built by ASI for Pratt & Whitney Canada to over 10, and represents the second purchase order for engine simulators by P&W in 2010.

"This project represents an example of the type of practical application of simulation to reduce cost, accelerate schedule, and increase safety that Atlantis is known for", said Chris Lewis, Vice President and General Manager of ASI. "We are very pleased to see our relationship with a prestigious customer such as Pratt & Whitney Canada grow, and are very proud that they continue to look to Atlantis to provide this valuable technology".

"We are very pleased at this award to ASI and congratulate Chris and his team", said Henrik Noesgaard, CEO of Atlantis Systems Corp. "This order shows the confidence of our customer in ASI and we look forward to a continued relationship in the future."
