Atlas Pipeline Chooses Tripwire for Change Management, Compliance

Industry Leader Leverages Configuration Audit & Control for Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - February 25, 2008) - Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent LLC, a rapidly growing midstream company providing gas gathering, compression processing and treating services, announced today its selection of Tripwire Enterprise to achieve and maintain consistent compliance across its data center. Tripwire Enterprise ensures the consistent availability and security of Atlas' network, ensuring compliance with internal policies as well as external ones, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Tripwire automatically detects unauthorized, non-compliant change to enterprise-wide systems and virtual environments and immediately alerts IT staff so that exceptions to its change and release management policies can be immediately updated and investigated. This approach enables Atlas to better manage risk by providing continuous, automated compliance across its environment. This is important as Atlas must comply with multiple regulatory standards. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act, signed into law in 2002, holds public companies to a new standard of accountability, and its requirements include the use of an internal control framework to address financial risks and protect shareholders -- a framework Tripwire Enterprise provides, cementing its ten-year leadership in change auditing, configuration assessment and compliance.

"Tripwire gives us what we need to be consistently available, completely secure and to comply with federal regulations governing our auditing procedures," said Mike Green, systems architect for Atlas. "It just made perfect sense to us."
