Attainable Homes Calgary Homeowners Move in to Cityscape Units Built by Canada's Largest Home Builder

Attainable Homes Calgary Corporation (AHCC), in partnership with Mattamy Homes (Mattamy), is pleased to welcome 10 deserving families to their new homes in the northeast community of Cityscape this week.

AHCC, a nonprofit social enterprise and wholly owned subsidiary of The City of Calgary, connects builders, lenders, lawyers and others to bring down the upfront costs of buying a home so qualifying Calgarians can get a foot on the property ladder with a $2,000 down payment. In 2013, Mattamy Homes offered 10 of its popular Village Homes to AHCC's Attainable Home Ownership Program in an effort to support this valuable social program and the Calgarians who benefit from it.

When the home owner decides to sell their home, a portion of the home appreciation is shared with AHCC to be reinvested in the program to serve more Calgarians.

New homeowners officially began taking possession of townhome units in Cityscape last Thursday. Located at Country Hills Blvd and Metis Trail, Cityscape is an integrated master-planned community that will ultimately offer 4,000 homes to the city.
