Attention Entertainment Editors: Shawn Brady, Hospital Director and U2-Tribute Band Singer, Performing New Music From Debut Rock Album "Electric Blood" at The Hideout, February 11, 2012

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2012) - Over the past ten years, Shawn Brady ( has performed as 'Bono' in 'Elevation', a U2 tribute show with world-wide success. Electric Blood, his first foray into songwriting, features ten high-energy rock songs with themes ranging from loss and human frailty to hope and ambition. The album was recorded in CTM Studios in Halifax, Nova Scotia and produced by Juno-nominee Cory Tetford, who has toured with Great Big Sea and Sheryl Crow. Shawn Brady and the Electric Blood Band will perform a high-energy show on Saturday, February 11 at 10:00 p.m. at The Hideout, located at 484 Queen Street West in Toronto. Cover charge is $5.

Shawn Brady lives to perform. By day he works as a director at a major hospital in Toronto and by night he performs live up to five nights a week in various bands including the alt-rock cover band 'EyePod Shuffle' and 'Elevation', the highly successful U2 tribute show having performed over 1000 shows in 14 countries including Japan, Italy, Spain, and England and across North America.

Dan Good, Owner of The Hideout says, "Shawn Brady's untamed, energetic and charismatic performances are a true inspiration. He possesses a rare talent and his dynamic and affluent style makes him a favourite to all."

Amidst all this, Shawn Brady felt that something was missing. His original voice. His original music. He felt he had to make the time to write, record and produce his own album. The result is his debut album Electric Blood which was recorded in just four weekends. Producer Cory Tetford says that this was possible because "Shawn has two qualities not normally found in one individual: he's extraordinarily creative, yet so well organized and prepared."

The video for the first single (, Highway of Heroes, was produced by Love & Crossbones Productions and released on November 1, 2011. It was shot on location at the Badlands in Caledon and tells the story of the effect of war on two friends.
