Attention Planning Editors: Xi'an Qujiang Film and TV Investment Group to Announce First U.S. Film Investment in Hollywood Ceremony


LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2011) - Marking one of the largest Chinese-based investments in a film production ever, the Qujiang Film and TV Investment Group, based in Xi'an, China, will hold a press conference to announce the signings of Antoine Fuqua, director of the Academy Award-winning film Training Day, and David Franzoni, screenwriter for Gladiator and Amistad, to helm and pen a romantic drama set in 8th century China during the Tang Dynasty and centering on the tragic love affair between Emperor Xuanzong and imperial concubine Yang Guifei.

Press conference ceremony to announce a $30 million investment by the Xi'an Qujiang Film and TV Investment Group in a film to be directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by David Franzoni as its first major production investment.
