Atwater Cup Woman's International Pro Squash Tournament

Top Squash Players Compete in Montreal from March 28 - April 2

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) - Club Atwater, one of Montreal's premiere squash and badminton clubs since 1926, Squash Québec and The Women's International Squash Players Association (WISPA), announced today the Women's International Pro Squash Tournament will take place at Club Atwater March 28 to April 2, 2011. The top woman's squash players in the world will be in Montreal competing for a prize pool of $25,900 and crucial world ranking points in what will be Canada's largest female squash event on the calendar.

Players are expected to partake from the U.S., South America, England, Ireland, Asia, Australia, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Egypt and our own Canadian players.

Club Atwater based kiwi Joelle King (world number 15) will feature highly in the seedings and with some local support a tip for the title could be a strong possibility. For further information on Ms. King, please visit

Atwater's own Quebecer Lindsay Bovaird (number 5 in Canada under 19 girls) has been awarded a wild card entry into the qualifying draw. Ms. Bovaird is a student at The Study School in Montreal and is the voice on the popular Quebec based cartoon Caillou.

Ms. Alexandra Norman (world number 47 representing Canada) is originally from England and who now resides in Montreal will compete for the title. 

The public are welcome to Club Atwater to support Joelle King, Lindsay Bovaird and Alexandra Norman who will compete in what will be a great week showcasing some of the finest woman's athletes in the world.
