Audyssey Announces MultEQ Pro Software Update

Version 3.4 Unlocks Custom Features in the Latest AVRs from Crestron, Denon, Integra and NAD

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - September 23, 2010) -  Audyssey, a leader in audio technology for the home, automotive and theater markets, today announced a new version of its MultEQ Pro Software. The software is used to calibrate and equalize home theater systems using Audyssey installer-ready AVRs, and to customize other Audyssey technologies, such as Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume.

This latest version of the software is now compatible with AVRs using SubEQ HT and MultEQ XT32 recently announced by Denon and Integra. It also covers new AVRs from Crestron and NAD and is compatible with the entire lineup of installer-ready AVRs from Audyssey's manufacturing partners.

There are significant differences between the built-in version of Audyssey's calibration and setup and what a professional can do with MultEQ Pro software. Not only does MultEQ Pro software allow far more measurement positions -- up to 32 -- but it also uses an individually calibrated microphone to achieve the most accurate measurement results. Installers can customize the target sound curve to resolve any additional issues or specific customer preferences.

MultEQ is Audyssey's award-winning technology and MultEQ Pro software unlocks all of its potential for producing a truly immersive home theater experience. The new version will be ready for installers in the middle of October. It is a free upgrade for installers who own MultEQ Pro 3.0. Consumers can find registered installers on the Audyssey website for a custom calibration.

Today's introduction of MultEQ Pro 3.4 comes on the heels of several recent technology announcements from Audyssey, including Volume Extension, SubEQ HT and MultEQ XT32. Volume Extension creates big sound from small speakers. SubEQ HT enables proper integration of multiple subwoofers in a single home theater setup; MultEQ XT32 improves room correction performance with 32x higher resolution filters.
