Audyssey Brings MultEQ XT32 to Studios With New ARC 2 Plug-in

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 31, 2012) - Audyssey, the leader in audio technology for the home, automotive, mobile and theater markets, today announced its award-winning MultEQ XT32 is now part of IK Multimedia's ARC (Advanced Room Correction) System plug-in for digital audio workstations. The new plug-in, with its ultra-high resolution, is an upgrade professionals will appreciate.

The digital audio workstation (DAW) is central to every sound designer and audio engineer's job. It's found in home and premier recording studios and, with this new advanced room correction plug-in, users will be able to easily optimize any recording space for consistent sound on their tracks.

"Mixing in a room with reflections from the walls and the console will color what you hear," said Chris Kyriakakis, Audyssey founder and CTO. "To truly hear what is in the mix, you need to take the problems of the room out of the equation."

MultEQ XT32 creates room correction filters for each speaker with more than ten thousand individual control points by taking a series of acoustical measurements from multiple locations throughout a listening or mixing environment. It works in the time domain to remove distortion caused by reflections in the room. It's the most advanced room-correction software to date.

Audyssey's MultEQ technology has been in the ARC plug-in since 2006. MultEQ XT32 is the most advanced addition to the line, enabling musicians and recording professionals to overcome physical imperfections in their mixing room to optimize their recordings.
