Audyssey Teams With San Francisco's Noise Pop 2011

Company Lends Support to Week-Long Festival That Showcases Fresh Talent, Emerging Stars Within the Indie Music Scene

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - Audyssey, a leader in audio technology for the home, automotive, mobile and theater markets, today announced that it has signed on as a sponsor of this month's Noise Pop 2011 festival. Taking place Feb. 22 - 27 in San Francisco, Noise Pop is a gathering place for the best minds in independent culture with performances held in various bars, clubs and theaters across the city.

"Music is at the core of everything we do at Audyssey and, with our commitment to local indie music, it was no stretch to align ourselves with Noise Pop," said Robb Mason, Audyssey's vice president of marketing. "This festival nurtures the very best in indie music and we're proud to help give emerging musicians a stage to share their craft with fans from across the Bay Area and the country."

Noise Pop debuted its first San Francisco festival in 1993. What started as a showcase of local indie bands has quickly grown into an annual meet-up of the best indie artists: musicians, filmmakers and visual artists.

"Our company is based in downtown Los Angeles; many of us moonlight as musicians, dabble in cinema and stay connected to the arts in various capacities," continued Mason. "Our involvement with Noise Pop is a fitting way for us to support a movement that is very important to us as an organization and as individuals."

Noise Pop kicks off with a 5 p.m. happy hour at Benders Bar on Feb. 22 with performances by Dirty Ghosts, Harderships and Hot Fog. Several shows per day will continue at venues across San Francisco until the festival concludes on Feb. 27.

Audyssey's sponsorship of Noise Pop is part of the company's larger initiative to support San Francisco's music scene. Since launching the Audyssey South of Market Audio Dock late last year, the company has thrown its support behind local music happenings, including The Neighborhood -- a free monthly show that brings together local bands and DJs to perform at the 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood.
