Augrid Global Holdings' Carbon Composite Technologies (CCT) Changes The Rules

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2011) - Augrid Global Holdings' (PINKSHEETS: AGHD) (Augrid) recent acquisition, Carbon Composite Technologies (CCT), brings 25 years of experience working with FRP and developing new processes dealing with Carbon Fiber and Nano Fiber manufacturing. Augrid feels compelled to further explain the value CCT brings to Augrid through this acquisition. M.J. Shaheed, Augrid CEO, and Richard Blackmore, CCT's President and Founder, have developed a cohesive plan to capture strategic markets but believe the Patents and Intellectual Property acquired by Augrid will significantly change the way Carbon Fiber, Nano Fiber and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic is manufactured and dramatically decrease the time and costs involved. CCT has 2 current Issued Patents, 4 Pending Patents and 21 Provisional Patent Applications, all of which relate to the manufacturing of Carbon Fiber and Nano Fiber reinforced Plastics, Polymers and Concrete.

Concrete articles, whether precast or poured in place, produced with the proprietary technology, contain carbon hybrid reinforcements which replace the traditional steel rebar and improves the cure cycle from several days to several hours. This carbon rebar does not corrode and inherently provides the ability to use radiant heat to heat the surface of the concrete part by either generating interior heat or surface heat. This patented process also allows for the ability to be used for de-icing driveways, sidewalks, roads, bridges and highways once it is widely adopted and accepted by state and federal authorities. Additionally, CCT has filed patents for the ability to produce fiberglass fabric with multi-wall Nano fibers evenly dispersed that is light weight, electrically resistant and far less expensive than typical carbon fiber fabrics.
