AurCrest Gold Announces the Addition of Two New Team Members

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 31, 2011) - AurCrest Gold Inc. (the "Company" or "AurCrest") (TSX VENTURE:AGO) is pleased to announce that it has added Robert E. Sanders, Ph.D. and Mr. Owen B. Jurczak to the AGO Team.

Robert E. Sanders, Ph.D. is a geologist with a doctorate from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and experience in tectonic processes associated with crustal fluid migration, alkalic magmatism, and gold mineralization in Precambrian rocks of the western United States, central Greenland, and northwest Ontario.

Dr Sanders' most recent work has been with Gold Canyon Resources' Springpole Lake discovery in East Red Lake; he played an integral part reclassifying the gold bearing rocks and defining the area of interest that has become the Portage Zone Discovery. Dr. Sanders has been hired on a consulting basis as Project Manager for AurCrest Gold's Richardson Lake gold project and to conduct the summer program for all of the newly acquired East Red Lake properties. Robert will be working closely with AurCrest Gold Vice President Exploration, Trevor Boyd.

AurCrest also welcomes Mr. Owen B. Jurczak, an MBA graduate from the Richard Ivey School of Business and CFA charterholder. Mr. Jurczaks' most recent position was as a director in the portfolio management team of CIBC World Markets' global Merchant Banking business based in Toronto; he worked directly with the portfolio managers in the financial and risk management of international private equity funds and public market investments. Mr. Jurczak will be assisting the President, Ian A. Brodie-Brown, in all aspects of management, from marketing and communications, to financing and business development, and will hold the position of Vice President Corporate Development. Mr. Jurczak has completed both the Boston Marathon and the Lake Placid Ironman triathlon.

Ian A. Brodie-Brown stated – "I am pleased to inform the shareholders of our good fortune in attracting these two individuals. Dr. Sanders' understanding of the geology and mineralizing events relating to the East Red Lake Gold deposits is a truly valuable asset to our Company and its future efforts. Mr. Jurczaks' banking experience and team building skills should lead to a strong management group to move AurCrest forward."
